Tour of the Billing App

The SnapBill billing app lives at app.snapbill.ca  and in the iOS and Android app. This page shows where everything is.

The Dashboard

When you sign in, the app opens on your Dashboard: a summary of your billing with recent claims, payments, and anything waiting on you. Click Dashboard at the top of the sidebar to come back to it.

Sidebar Navigation

The left sidebar lists the parts of the app you’ll use most:

• Dashboard — your summary and recent activity
• Claims — your claims list and new claims
• Snap — photograph a patient list or sticker and turn it into claims
• Assistant — ask billing questions in plain language
• Patients — your patient directory
• Billing Codes — search every OHIP billing code, fee and rule (guide)
• Physicians/Billing Numbers — look up any Ontario physician’s billing number (guide)

Less frequent sections are grouped below them:

• Billing — your SnapBill billing and tax reports
• Operations — submissions and reports
• Tools — private billing, health card checker, corrections, data import, billing check-up
• Reference — facilities and OHIP diagnostic codes

Help & Docs (this site), Contact Support and Settings are at the bottom of the sidebar.

Main Content Area

The center of the screen displays the current page. Most pages include:

• A search bar and filters at the top
• A data table or card grid for browsing records
• Action buttons for creating or modifying items

Privacy Mode

Click the eye icon in the header to toggle privacy mode. When enabled, sensitive information like patient names, health card numbers, and dollar amounts are masked throughout the app. This is useful when presenting your screen or working in shared spaces.

What the Dashboard Shows

The Dashboard displays:

• Revenue metrics — total billed, paid, and pending amounts
• Recent claims — your latest claim activity
• Submission status — pending, queued, and submitted counts
• Billing timeline — upcoming deadlines and payment dates

Mobile App

On mobile devices, the sidebar collapses into a bottom tab bar with the core navigation items. The full menu is accessible via the hamburger icon. All features are available on mobile, with layouts optimized for smaller screens.

Keyboard Shortcuts

Press Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows) to open the command palette. From there you can quickly navigate to any page, search for patients, or jump to a claim.
