Quick Start Guide

Get up and running with SnapBill in a few steps.

1. Create Your Account

Sign up at app.snapbill.ca . You’ll need:

  • Your OHIP billing number (6 digits)
  • Your CPSO number
  • Your medical specialty

After signing up, you can optionally enable two-factor authentication for added security.

2. Connect to OHIP

To submit claims electronically, you need to link your OPS BPS account:

  1. Go to Settings > OHIP Connection
  2. Enter your MCEDT credentials (EDT user ID and password)
  3. SnapBill will verify the connection

If you don’t have an OPS BPS account yet, follow the OPS BPS Registration guide first. You’ll also need to designate SnapBill as your provider.

3. Add Your First Patient

Navigate to Patients in the sidebar and click Add Patient. Enter:

  • Patient name and date of birth
  • OHIP health card number and version code
  • Gender and province

You can also add patients by scanning documents with Snap OCR or importing from another system.

4. Create and Submit a Claim

5. Explore the Dashboard

Your dashboard shows a summary of recent activity, revenue, and pending actions. From there, you can navigate to any section using the sidebar.
